We have had the idea of an online hat customiser ever since we first started making hats and have now for the past couple of months worked intensely on making it a reality. The purpose was to bring our clients from all around the world into the design process of their hat in an easy and convenient way. With this new feature you can sit in the comfort of your home and play around with different styles and colours, before making up your mind. And the best part of it is, that you actually get a visualisation of what your finished custom hat will look like when it arrives at your doorstep.
We are still experiencing some technical issues, that might cause the customiser to behave strangely at times, but the developer team is working hard at getting the bugs fixed as soon as possible.
The product image you create with your options, isn't saved to the cart yet. We get all the information we need, but if you want to see the hat you created after leaving the customiser, we recommend that you take a screenshot.
Because of the way the customiser is built, you have to work with it in order it has been set up.
That means: Material > Crown > Brim > Trim > Details
With some things you are able to go back and make changes without having to start over, but if your want to change colour of the material it erases all subsequent choices.
If you encounter any other issues, we would really appreciate it if you would let us know.
Getting a hat in the right size can sometimes prove quite difficult, because every hat brand’s sizes differ slightly from the next. Sometimes the difference can be as much a size and a half.
That’s why we have made a FREE sizing kit with a special head circumference tape measure and instructions on how to find the right hat size. Get your sizing kit here.
HOW TO USE THE SIZING KIT
If you don’t want to wait for our sizing kit you can also use a regular tape measure to measure your head at the widest point, which in most cases is about a fingers width above the ears.
What you get in cm is essentially your hat size. So if you measured your head to be 58 cm, your hat size is 58. If you are in between two sizes we would recommend choosing the smaller of the two, as the hat will then expand a bit to take the shape of your head.
